The BeamReaders Story
Dr. David Hatcher was the first private practice to scan dental patients with CBCT in 2001. As CBCT units became more prevalent in the U.S., scans were being mailed to David from all over. These were accumulating in growing piles around his office. It was clear that he needed a platform and support of other Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologists.
Finally over a Thanksgiving holiday, his brother Tom and Business partner Craig Dial started BeamReaders. After building the initial prototype BeamReaders took its first case in March of 2008!
This easy, secure and efficient way to share your radiology files and reports with the patient's treatment circle will surely distinguish yourself within your referral community. BeamReaders helps you elevate your level of patient support.
BeamReaders is focused on helping dental practices achieve their goals. Extracting the maximum clinical value out of every CBCT scan leads to improved treatment planning, patient communication and better outcomes.
BeamReaders team of more than 50 Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologists deliver their expertise to you. Our online case portal allows for easy upload of your image volumes, provides secure storage and allows you to share your cases with other professionals.
Each of our radiology reports are tailored to the clinical purpose, include a full pathology review and capture all key images.
BeamReaders has assembled the largest team of OMRs in the U.S. Our structure allows us to be blessed with team members working in some of the nation's most elite institutions, to those retired from the academic environment to others committed full-time to private practice work — giving us a dynamic pool of team members.
All OMRs go through our internal mentoring process to help us deliver consistent reporting principles. Our radiologists support each other with challenging cases. We have an internal toolset built into the Case Portal that allows our radiologists to share those tough cases with each other.
We are excited about the future integration of technology into the field of dental radiology. BeamReaders is continuing to work with leading experts to help ensure these technologies integrate into the field of dental radiology with practical applications to improve the quality of diagnostic information pulled out of each and every scan.
