Dr. David Hatcher was the first private practice to scan dental patients with CBCT in 2001. As CBCT units became more prevalent in the U.S., scans were being mailed to David from all over. These were accumulating in growing piles around his office. It was clear that he needed a platform and support of other Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologists.
Finally over a Thanksgiving holiday, his brother Tom and Business partner Craig Dial started BeamReaders. After building the initial prototype with the amazing support of Web By Pixel, BeamReaders took its first case in March of 2008!
