Dr. Mardini received her D.D.S. degree from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2001. In 2002 she began a 3 year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There Dr. Mardini received her M.S. degree and Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Certification. In 2006 Dr. Mardini was awarded Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Mardini has been involved in teaching since her graduation from dental school, spending a year at her alma mater Arthur A. Dugoni University of the Pacific. She later joined the faculty at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She spent time teaching in both the Radiology and Emergency Clinics as well as being Course Director for the first year dental radiology course.
Dr. Mardini is Past-President of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology and served 6 years with the board. She also holds committee positions within the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. She has been involved in research and publications on topics such as the Temporomandibular Joint and has a special interest in forensic dentistry and craniofacial growth.
