How to use BeamReaders Collaboration (formerly Case Share)

Sharing imaging, radiology reports, and other case files with the broader treatment team used to mean burning CDs, uploading to websites, repeated attempts to send bulky email attachments, or relying on thumb drives.

BeamReaders Collaboration, formerly Case Share, makes that a thing of the past.

If you’ve ever signed up for BeamReaders and entered a patient, you already have access to this feature, free of charge.

Here’s how to use it:

1. Log in and Select Your Patient

Log in to your BeamReaders account and navigate to the patient tab.

Next head over to “Completed Services”

Typically you’ll search for patients by name, but you can also choose by doctor, reporting radiologist, service, and dates.

View of the patient screen.

2. Click into the Patient and “Collaborate”

You’ll find the Collaborate button on the left of the case view.

Click it to open the sharing panel.

3. Start Collaborating and Enter Recipient

Click on the “Start Collaborating” button.

Add the recipient’s name, email address, and a quick note on the case. That’s it. They’ll receive a secure email link giving them access and the ability to communicate to the case.

The collaboration window.

4. They Access the Files Instantly

Recipients don’t need to sign up, download new software, or contact support.

They’ll view the full case—images, uploads, and radiology reports—through a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal.

From there, you can communicate on the case in one central location.

Why Use Collaboration?

  1. Save time and avoid all the extra steps of downloading files, zipping them, and placing them onto physical media or re-uploading somewhere unsecure
  2. Strengthen referral and treatment partner relationships with instant file availability and communication
  3. Ensure security and compliance every step of the way
  4. Did we mention it's free?!

So whether you’re working with a specialist, a surgical planning lab, or another practice in the care team, BeamReaders Collaboration makes it easy.

No extra tools. No added cost. Just click, share, and collaborate.
