Dr. Mayank Pahadia

Dr. Pahadia is a dual-trained specialist in Oral Medicine and Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. He obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry, India followed by post-graduation (Master of Dental Surgery) in Oral Medicine & Radiology from the same institute. After working in India for a year in private practice, he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology residency at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, TX. He has previously worked as Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Florida, College of Dentistry in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Diagnostic Sciences where he was actively involved in teaching students, residents and clinical faculty practice providing interpretation reports for various dental imaging modalities.

He is board-certified by the American Certifying Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ACBOMR). Dr. Pahadia has presented at several national/international conferences, contributed to scientific literature with several peer-reviewed publications as well as a reviewer for multiple journals such as Journal of Digital Imaging (JDI) and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology (OOOO).

He is an active member of various organizations such as American Dental Association (ADA) and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR) where he is currently serving as the Chair of the Membership Recruitment Committee.

This 2023 study evaluated the effect of a motion artifact correction algorithm on CBCT image quality, finding that while the correction system produced statistically significant changes to artifact values and contrast-to-noise ratio, its clinical benefit may be limited to cases where patient motion is expected and head stabilization is not feasible.
