Dr. Boulos Bechara received his dental degree from the University of Saint Joseph, School of Dental Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. He is a certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) and holds a Master of Science degree from the same institution.
During his residency, Dr. Bechara received four awards from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR) and two awards from UTHSCSA which makes him one of the most decorated OMR residents in the history of the AAOMR and UTHSCSA OMR program. During his residency, Dr. Bechara published ten articles in indexed journals; he was the primary author for seven of these papers. The seven papers addressed fracture detection in endodontically treated roots with multiple 3D and 2D imaging modalities, as well as factors affecting image quality and artifact reduction in CBCT images. As of now Dr Bechara authored over 15 articles.
He served as a reviewer for multiple scientific journals. He is a former Assistant Professor at UTHSCSA.
Dr. Bechara is a Diplomate of the American Certifying Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
