Vice President, Customer Development
Barney Gill joined BeamReaders in May 2019 as Vice President of Customer Development. Barney leads projects focused on evolving marketing strategy, developing new sales channels, and enhancing the user experience for both general and specialty dental practices and BeamReaders’ team of OMRs.
A 20-year life sciences veteran, Barney previously had roles at a small private firm, at a large publicly traded company, and in academia. Most recently at PerkinElmer, a solutions provider for the diagnostic and research services markets, Barney was the Global Business Leader of OEM Products within the Diagnostics division. In this role, he was responsible for creating and growing a global OEM business, focusing on the applied genomics market. He also held various positions in customer support, commercial sales, and business development as well as served in several leadership and mentoring roles.
Previously, Barney also worked for Adaptive Biotechnologies, a biotechnology firm in the field of immune-driven medicine. As part of a commercial immunosequencing team, he helped launch new products and services, grew customer relationships, and provided ongoing customer support. Barney earned an executive MBA from the University of Washington in 2014 and a Bachelor of Science in zoology in 1997.
In his free time, Barney enjoys cycling and running, and spending time with his two children.
